Training

Spots offers a full dog training and behavior program. We concentrate on companionship obedience which includes:

• nice casual walks (where your dog walks a little ahead and a little behind you, but does not pull you down the street, even if you encounter cats, joggers, bikes, or other dogs)
• 5 plus minute sit stays
• 30 plus minute down stays (where you can be at your favorite coffee shop and your dog will stay next to the table while other people and dogs walk past)
• recalls no matter what the distraction is (even in a park with other dogs).

All training is off-leash and on-leash training, and includes hand signals and verbal commands.

We offer private lessons and in-board training.

• Private lessons are 1 hour a week, for 6-8 weeks, but we will continue to meet with you at no extra charge until we reach our goals. Total cost is $700.00
• In-board training is when your dog stays at Spots for 40 days, and goes home fully trained. We then do extensive follow up with you to ensure he/she listens to you also. Total cost is $1700.00

Both programs can be started at 4 months old, but work well for any age. We also work on any behavior problems, including separation anxiety and aggression.
